Scavenge is seeking a Co-Founder (Capital Formation & Strategy) to lead fundraising and financial strategy for a peer-to-peer marketplace in Nigeria. The role involves securing capital, developing investor materials, and shaping the company's long-term strategy. Candidates should have experience in fundraising or finance. We are focused on solving trust, access, and liquidity in community commerce, starting in Nigeria with a long-term vision to scale across emerging markets.


Role Overview
We are seeking a Co-Founder (Capital Formation & Strategy) to lead fundraising and financial strategy from the ground up.
This is a founding leadership role responsible for securing the capital required to scale the company and helping shape its long-term strategic direction.


You will work directly with the founder as a core decision-maker in building the company.


Key Responsibilities
Lead fundraising across angels, venture capital firms, family offices, grants, and strategic investors.
Develop investor materials, pitch decks, financial models, and fundraising narratives


Structure and execute fundraising rounds (pre-seed and seed stage)


Build and manage relationships with investors and capital partners


Define long-term financial and capital strategy


Support high-level strategic decision-making as part of the founding team


Build financial systems and processes to support scaling


Requirements / Ideal Candidate
We are open to candidates globally. Strong candidates typically have experience in one or more of the following:
Venture capital / angel investing


Investment banking / private equity


Startup fundraising or founder experience


Corporate finance / FP&A in high-growth companies


Management consulting with strong financial exposure


You should have
Proven ability to raise capital or support fundraising efforts
Strong financial modeling and startup economics knowledge


Excellent communication and investor-facing skills


Ability to operate in early-stage, high-ambiguity environments


Strong network in the startup/investment ecosystem (preferred but not required)
