Role Overview Eurasia Group, a leading global political risk advisory firm, is seeking a Climate Transition Analyst to join its Global Environment & Sustainability Practice. You will analyze the intersection of climate policy, geopolitics, and business impact across multiple sectors and regions. Based in Nairobi, you'll conduct original research and advisory work on climate regulations (CSRD, CSDDD, EU Green Deal, IRA, duty of vigilance laws) and provide clients with forward-looking, politically grounded insights into how climate policy shapes market opportunities and risks. Key Responsibilities Assess geopolitical and country-level risks tied to climate policy changes and transitions Analyze the political economy of climate policymaking, focusing on the actors, incentives, and regional dynamics that shape policy outcomes Research and report on climate regulations across multiple sectors (insurance, agrifood, mining, shipping, energy, auto, defense, healthcare, tech, chemicals, aviation) Maintain and update climate policy dashboards and regulatory trackers Produce executive summaries and in-depth sectoral reports tailored to corporate clients Support the broader climate transition coverage team through collaborative research and cross-functional knowledge sharing Meet tight publication deadlines while maintaining editorial excellence and analytical credibility Required Skills & Experience Conduct comprehensive political and regulatory analysis on climate policy trends and assess their sectoral and geographic relevance Synthesize complex policy information and geopolitical context into clear, business-focused written and oral communications Research and track climate-related regulations and understand how they influence corporate strategy and market dynamics Produce original research outputs—both short-form forward-looking analysis and long-form reports—with minimal supervision Collaborate effectively across teams, integrate feedback quickly, and maintain high editorial standards Work productively in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments and balance competing priorities without formal oversight structures Salary & Benefits Base salary: KES 4,500,000–6,500,000 per annum (determined based on experience, qualifications, location, and education).
