A Day in the Life

As an Environmental Graphic Designer at Toole, you will be part of our growing Graphic Design team, working collaboratively with urban designers, landscape architects, planners, and engineers. Your role will involve bridging the gap between 2D and 3D design, using your knowledge of visual communication to help users navigate their environments successfully.
Responsibilities

This role is primarily focused on wayfinding for bicycle networks, walkable urban districts, parks, and transit stations. You will lead the design of standalone wayfinding projects or support EGD tasks within larger trails and urban design projects. Depending on workload and your skillset, this role may also involve general graphic design or visualization deliverables such as report design, engagement materials, or renderings.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, industrial design, landscape architecture, or related field from an accredited college or university and/or comparable work experience in lieu of a degree
• 5+ years of experience in graphic design, industrial design, landscape architecture, or other related field
• 3+ years' experience in wayfinding, including design intent drawings demonstrating knowledge of fabrication techniques, relevant building/planning codes, and human-centered design
• Portfolio demonstrating strong design skills
• Proficiency in graphic production using Adobe Creative Suite
