Job Overview
We are seeking a new Senior Project Manager, Energy and Utilities to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. As a Senior Project Manager, Energy and Utilities, you join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever evolving project needs. This opportunity will be located in our Norristown, PA office and could have potential to be hybrid depending on the specific client, project and team needs.
This Senior Project Manager will partner with department leadership to manage the quality and schedule performance of projects and programs within the energy and utilities organization. This role reports directly to the Associate Vice President of the sector and will be responsible for providing oversight, direction and coaching to project management teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, direct, and coordinate engineering and project management activities for EPC projects involving transmission and distribution, substations, pipelines and other gas and electric systemsManaging scope, schedule, budget, risk, resources, quality and stakeholder communicationPromote Ardmore Roderick’s services to optimize utilization and drive sustainable growthManage a portfolio of energy and utilities projects (gas, electric, renewables) per industry best practicesDirect staff to meet client deliverables on time and within budgetDevelopment and implementation of project execution plans, QA plans, staffing, org charts and procurement strategiesOversee conceptual design, scheduling, budgeting and executionReview and negotiate prime contracts, subcontracts and change ordersManage and communicate project financials to Ardmore Roderick leadership and clientsParticipate in the project proposal and bid process in conjunction with department leadershipAdvising company leadership on operations, workforce needs and recruitment strategyEnsure projects meet safety standards in accordance with OSHA, state regulations and other industry best practicesRequired QualificationsFour-year degree in engineering or other equivalent fields of study with 12 years of progressive experience in project management, engineering design and/or construction management in the electric and gas utility industry OR High School Diploma and 15 years of relevant project management or related experienceDemonstrated ability to work independently or lead teams, effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multitasking environmentCollaborative team player who fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace, with strong written and verbal communication skillsValid driver's license and willingness to travel periodically Preferred QualificationsAdvanced degree(s)CAPM, PMP or PEExperience managing $5+ million Design-Build and/or EPC ProjectsDeep understanding of electric and gas transmission and distribution, electrical substations and/or other related systems and facilitiesBenefitsWe offer Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans401K, Paid Maternity Leave, Competitive PTOEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) and more

Salary Range: $125,008-159,952, Ardmore Roderick is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and/or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
