## Associate Director

Braun Intertec is seeking a highly motivated Associate Director to join our Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Team with a primary focus on renewable power generation in the Upper Midwest. You will have the flexibility to work from home or in an office environment on your own terms. This is a client-facing role where you'll lead procurement efforts, manage moderate to complex geotechnical engineering projects, and provide strong team leadership and technical guidance to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.

You will lead work procurement efforts through identification and pursuit of renewable power generation projects and client opportunities, with assigned quarterly and/or annual revenue goals. Developing and maintaining internal and external client relationships is expected, including project and non-project face-to-face meetings. You will also lead scope of work development and, as needed, assist in proposal preparation for moderate to complex renewable energy projects.

Building and managing a high-performing team is a core part of the role; provide guidance, mentorship, and direction through regular in-person and remote interactions. You will lead and/or support client contract negotiations through our Authority Grant policy and manage project, client, and business-related risk through that same Authority Grant policy. Support of client relationships to effectively achieve market sector goals and strategies, and the development or assistance in development of business goals and objectives, are part of daily expectations.

On the technical side, you will prepare geotechnical engineering reports that provide professional opinions and practical solutions, perform engineering analyses using company and industry standards and methodology, and review engineering analyses and reports prepared by junior-level engineering staff. Performing quality review of work performed by assigned staff and identifying, investigating, and resolving internal and external quality issues on projects will be part of your responsibilities. You will work with regional operations leaders to effectively coordinate staff, resources, and manage workloads to meet project schedule, budget, and safety requirements.

Compensation Range: $96,000.00 - $144,000.00

### Skills, qualifications, and requirements you must have

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail, combined with strong organization and customer service skills.

- Goal oriented and highly motivated, with the ability to exceed client expectations while thriving in a time critical / dynamic work environment.

- Ability to work independently, as a team member, and as a team leader.

- Fundamental understanding of geology and geologic stability and performance mechanisms.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, Share. Point.

- A valid driver's license and a clean driving history required.

Required Experience and credentials:

- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering required.

- Professional Engineer registration/license. Candidate will be required to obtain licensure in multiple other states.

- 5 or more years of power / renewables geotechnical engineering experience.

- Previous experience with large scale construction projects preferred.

- Experience working in a consulting firm preferred but not required.

- Ability to bring in existing client relationships preferred but not required.

- Ability to travel up to 10% of time.
