The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) is a Washington, DC based think tank that helps policymakers work across the aisle to craft bipartisan solutions. By connecting lawmakers, delivering data and context, negotiating policy details, and creating space for bipartisan collaboration, BPC ensures democracy can function on behalf of Americans.

BPC has developed bipartisan recommendations for growing the supply of affordable rental homes, providing targeted rental assistance, and supporting sustainable homeownership since 2011. BPC's Housing Commission, Senior Health and Housing Task Force, and other efforts have served as catalysts for bipartisan action in Congress.

BPC is currently seeking a Senior Policy Analyst to join the J. Ronald Terwilliger Center for Housing Policy. The center is working to advance federal policies that effectively address the nation's critical housing affordability challenges.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Managing and generating written products
• Evaluating policies related to housing
• Leading outreach and communications activities
• Planning and managing public events
• Developing recognized expertise on housing policy
• Assisting in project fundraising and tracking
• Communicating and collaborating with stakeholders
• Overseeing junior staff and interns
• Building relationships with congressional and administration staff
• Developing strategies to advance housing goals

Qualifications for Senior Policy Analyst

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR a relevant advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong political instincts and ability to work diplomatically
• Knowledge of federal housing programs and/or housing markets
• Previous grant writing experience is preferable
• Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Highly flexible and adaptable
• Strong ability to manage and prioritize tasks

**Work Schedule:** BPC operates on a hybrid schedule with employees coming into the office three times a week. Schedules are determined between employees and their managers.
