Summary:

As a Government Affairs Summer Intern at Vicinity Energy, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in government relations, stakeholder engagement, and environmental advocacy. This position offers a dynamic blend of research, analysis, and communication tasks allowing you to contribute meaningfully to Vicinity Energy's mission of advancing sustainable energy solutions. The Government Affairs Intern will report to the VP of Government Affairs.

Responsibilities:

• Clean up Government Affairs Drive on SharePoint
• Develop One Pagers for Cities Served
• Develop Key Stakeholder Outreach List
• Update Building Decarbonization Document
• Pull Together PowerPoint Templates
• Attend Meetings with Elected Officials
• Represent Vicinity Energy at Committee Hearings

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current enrollment in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program such as political science, environmental studies, public policy, or a related field
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
• Demonstrated interest in sustainability, energy policy, or environmental advocacy preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment
• Reliable and detail-oriented with a commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work

**Physical Requirements:** Must submit to pre-employment drug screening
