Job Description

Elysian Energy is hiring a Residential Energy Project Specialist in Laurel, MD, to analyze data from energy audits and develop proposals for efficiency improvements. Candidates should have 3-5 years of energy audit experience and be interested in transitioning to data analysis and training. Responsibilities include data modeling, reporting, and coordinating projects. Required qualifications include relevant certifications and a valid driver's license. Elysian Energy is seeking a Residential Energy Project Specialist to analyze data from Home Performance with Energy Star audits and create proposals for energy efficiency improvements. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of Energy Audit experience and is looking to transition from field work to data analysis, training, and customer solution development.



Key Responsibilitties

Perform data modeling for energy audits using industry-standard softwareCreate audit reports, HVAC and electrical load calculationsDevelop practical scopes of work within program parameters and for larger scale projectsCommunicate audit findings and recommendations to homeowners clearly and effectivelyResearch emerging technologies for residential energy efficiency and electrification/decarbonization projectsCoordinate with subcontractors and internal contracting staff on multi-phased projectsProvide training and support to auditors as neededPerform related administrative tasks using computers and mobile technologyRequirements

Building Performance Institute Building Analyst Certification (BPI BA) or BPI HEP Energy Auditor Certification3+ years of energy auditing experienceValid driver’s license with clean driving recordReliable access to an insured vehicleAbility to pass background and reference checks

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s or technical degreeStrong written and verbal communication skillsFamiliarity with residential construction, skilled trades, and/or building scienceExperience with Beacon, Wrightsoft, or other modeling softwareExperience working in SalesforceBPI QCI CertificationAbility to understand, apply, and communicate technical conceptsCustomer service and sales experienceBenefits
