Position: Project Manager 2- Wastewater OverviewWe are committed to making a meaningful impact through our work. As a Project Manager 2, you will join our Wastewater Team in our Potland, ME or Portsmouth, NH offices * 9, where you’ll play a key role in delivering vital infrastructure projects across the Northeast. Working with industry experts, you’ll tackle complex challenges that strengthen community resilience and advance environmental sustainability. Our team delivers innovative, cost-effective solutions that protect public health, restore ecosystems, and strengthen critical infrastructure. You’ll contribute to projects that span the full lifecycle—from facility planning, permitting, and asset management to the design and construction of treatment plants, pump stations, and resilient conveyance systems. Our portfolio includes Long-Term CSO Control Plans, Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plans, Integrated Water Resource Management Plans, and Sewer System Evaluation Studies. With our deep expertise in hydraulic modeling, nutrient removal, resiliency upgrades, and sustainable system design, you’ll be part of a team setting the standard for excellence and building smarter, stronger communities.ResponsibilitiesAs a valuable part of our Wastewater Team , a Project Manager 2 will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering wastewater infrastructure projects throughout the Northeast and responsibilities will include:Managing projects from initial concept through construction completion, promoting adherence to technical, regulatory, and funding requirementsActing as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and guiding them through funding options, permitting, and project executionSupervising multidisciplinary teams, providing technical leadership, mentorship, and oversight for successful project deliveryPreparing and overseeing the development of construction documents, including permit applications, drawings, specifications, opinions of cost, and reports, while maintaining high-quality standardsAttending meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to address project needs and resolve design challengesManaging budgets and schedules, keeping projects on track while meeting client expectations and industry best practicesAssisting with business development, including proposal writing, scope, and budget developmentQualificationsWhat You’ll NeedBachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related fieldConsiderable consulting engineering experience with increasing responsibility in the wastewater industryLicensure as a Professional EngineerDemonstrated project management experience and strong technical skillsStrong leadership ability with a passion for managing and mentoring othersClear, concise, and effective written and verbal communication skillsPreferred RequirementsMaster’s degree in a relevant fieldFamiliarity with New England and New York wastewater regulations, permitting processes, and funding opportunitiesUnderstanding of Revit use on multidisciplinary wastewater infrastructure projectsExperience in wastewater system design, including treatment plants, pump stations, conveyance systems, and asset management planningEnthusiasm for learning and a self‑motivated approach to professional growthAdditional licensure in multiple states to support diverse project needsBenefitsYour Financial and Wellness BenefitsCompensation is based on skills and experience as reflected in the pay range belowAnnual Bonus, Profit Sharing, and Employee Stock Ownership PlanBest in Class Medical InsuranceDental & Vision InsuranceWellness Rewards and ReimbursementsTuition Reimbursement and Qualified Student Loan Paydown ContributionsReimbursements for Licensure/ Certification Preparation and FeesSummer Fridays…
