Project Estimator – Residential Construction (Onsite)

Location: In-Person / Onsite [Insert City/Office Location]

Schedule: Full-Time (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST)

READ THIS FIRST BEFORE APPLYING:

Resume in English ONLY. If your resume or application is not submitted in English, it will be automatically rejected without review.
This is an ONSITE role. You will be working shoulder-to-shoulder with our sales and production teams in the office. If you are looking for a remote work-from-home job, do not apply.
No "Data Entry" Estimators. We want an estimator who mentally builds the job in their head before pricing it. If you just blindly plug numbers into a spreadsheet without understanding how a house is actually put together, you will fail here.

Who We Are:
EcoBuild is a fast-moving, operator-led residential construction company. We don't do corporate bureaucracy; we value accountability, clear standards, and people who turn problems into actions. We have a steady flow of work, and we need an aggressive, highly accurate estimator to ensure every project we sell is profitable.
The Reality of the Role:

You are the bridge between a sold job and a profitable build. Your job is to look at plans, photos, and field notes, find the missing details the sales team missed, and build a bulletproof budget. Because you are onsite, you are expected to collaborate directly with Project Managers, hold subcontractors accountable, and catch pricing risks before we sign a contract.

What You Will Actually Do:

Tear Apart the Scope: Review architectural plans, site photos, and field notes to build highly accurate takeoffs and labor/material pricing for residential projects.
Hunt Down the Best Pricing: Request, compare, and aggressively negotiate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
Find the "Gotchas": Catch scope gaps, structural conflicts, missing details, and pricing risks before the project goes to production.
Drive the Process: Coordinate constantly with sales, operations, and management. If a scope is vague, you don't guess—you walk over to the Project Manager's desk and get the answer.
Maintain the Database: Track all estimate revisions, update unit costs, and keep your estimating records ruthlessly organized.

What You Need to Succeed (Hard Skills):

3+ years of hard experience in estimating and budgetary work for U.S. Residential Construction.
Deep knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, and labor sequencing.
High proficiency with takeoff software, complex spreadsheets, and bid preparation.
A degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management is preferred, but real-world estimating experience beats a piece of paper.

Who You Need to Be (Character & DNA):

Extreme Ownership: You take pride in your accuracy. If a job loses money because you missed a measurement, you own it and fix the process.
Speed + Precision: You can turn around bids quickly without your quality dropping.
Proactive Communicator: You don't wait for information to come to you; you go get it.

How to Apply:
Submit your English resume.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
