Job Description
The UNB is hiring an Outreach Experiential Learning Coordinator for a full-time, 2-year term position based in Fredericton, NB. The role involves advancing the Faculty's visibility and recruitment through outreach activities, stakeholder engagement, and experiential learning coordination. Responsibilities include developing outreach strategies, coordinating events, building relationships with prospective students and employers, and tracking recruitment activities. The position requires travel within the region.
Closing Date: August 13, 2026 at 4:00 PM Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Management The Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Management is a Fredericton campus faculty providing undergraduate and graduate education in forestry and environmental management. WHAT WE OFFER Full-time | 2 Year Term | Fredericton | On-Campus Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:15 am - 4:30 pm | 36.25 hours per week Additional Working Conditions: Must be willing and able to travel throughout the region to support outreach and recruitment activities. Salary Range: $49,410 - $61,768 per annum YOUR FOCUS Reporting to the Dean of Forestry and Environmental Management, the Outreach & Experiential Learning Coordinator advances the Faculty's visibility, reputation, recruitment, and enrolment objectives through strategic outreach, stakeholder engagement, and experiential learning coordination. The position plays a key role in connecting student recruitment, experiential learning, and employment outcomes while supporting the Faculty's strategic priorities. This role will encompass both undergraduate and graduate students and their programs. Design, develop, and deliver outreach and recruitment strategies, communications, presentations, and promotional materials that support undergraduate and graduate enrolment. Coordinate and represent the Faculty at school visits, career fairs, open houses, campus tours, webinars, recruitment events, and other outreach activities. Build and maintain relationships with prospective students, parents, guidance counsellors, teachers, community organizations, educational partners, employers, alumni, government agencies, and industry partners. Promote the Faculty's academic programs, student success stories, experiential learning opportunities, and career pathways through digital and traditional communication channels. Support recruitment initiatives for undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs, including pathway agreements, and collaborate with UNB Recruitment to monitor and report on recruitment activities. Coordinate undergraduate and graduate internships and other work-integrated learning opportunities, including student placements, employer engagement, and course administration. Develop and maintain employer partnerships to expand experiential learning opportunities and enhance student career readiness. Coordinate employer information sessions, networking events, workshops, orientation activities, and other student engagement initiatives. Gather and share information on employment opportunities, career development resources, and experiential learning programs with students and stakeholders. Support the preparation and administration of experiential learning and workforce development funding opportunities, including CEWIL, Mitacs, SWPP, and related programs. Track and report on recruitment activities, student participation, employer engagement, and experiential learning outcomes to support continuous improvement. Maintain accurate records, databases, reports, and communications related to outreach, recruitment, employer engagement, and experiential learning activities. Collaborate with academic and administrative units across the university and with external partners to support outreach, recruitment, student engagement, and experiential learning initiatives. Support committees, working groups, strategic planning, and continuous improvement initiatives that advance enrolment growth, student success, and external engagement. Administer the Faculty's outreach and recruitment budget, including travel, promotional materials, and engagement activities. WHAT YOU BRING Completion of an undergraduate degree required. Minimum three years of experience in outreach, recruitment, relationship management, experiential learning, stakeholder engagement, communications, or marketing. Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining external partnerships, delivering presentations, coordinating events and projects, and working independently in a dynamic environment. Additional Strengths Background in Environmental Management, Forestry, Natural Resources, Education, Communications, Marketing, or a related field would be considered an asset. Excellent communication, presentation, networking, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including prospective students, educators, employers, alumni, and industry partners. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Experience with O365 and CRM or database management systems is an asset.
