Net Metering & Grid Connection Manager

Confidential Company is seeking a Net Metering & Grid Connection Manager in New Delhi, India. The role involves managing the grid interconnection process for solar projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, and liaising with utilities and authorities. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years of relevant experience, and knowledge of net metering policies and regulations in India. The position is full-time with a salary range of ₹50,000–₹66,667 per month.
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Net Metering & Grid Connection Manager to lead and manage the end-to-end grid interconnection process for our solar projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in utility coordination, regulatory compliance, and net metering processes in India.


Key Responsibilities:Manage the net metering and grid connection process for solar power projects from application to commissioningLiaise with utilities, DISCOMs, and regulatory authorities to secure approvals, permits, and interconnection agreementsEnsure compliance with all applicable Indian grid regulations, policies, and standardsCoordinate grid connection activities including installation, testing, and commissioning of equipmentOversee and manage performance of third-party vendors and contractors involved in grid connection worksCollaborate with internal teams (engineering, project, and operations) to ensure smooth integration of grid requirementsMaintain accurate documentation of net metering data, approvals, and compliance recordsTrack and stay updated on CEA, CEIG, MNRE, and state-level net metering policiesIdentify and mitigate risks related to grid connectivity and regulatory approvalsEligibility Criteria:Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred)Minimum 3+ years of experience in solar/grid connection or utility coordinationStrong understanding of net metering policies across Indian statesFamiliarity with regulatory frameworks including:Central Electricity Authority (CEA)CEIG regulationsMinistry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE)CBIP guidelinesExperience in utility interconnection applications and compliance processes
