Job Description
ERM is hiring a Managing Consultant, Environmental Data Manager in the U.S. for hybrid roles. The position involves designing data solutions for environmental projects, managing large teams, and maintaining client relationships. Candidates should have a degree in environmental or data management, with significant experience in data analysis and project coordination. Strong skills in EQuIS, Excel, and data visualization tools are preferred. ERM values diversity and sustainability in its work environment.
ERM is seeking a Managing Consultant, Environmental Data Manager in the United States (multiple locations, hybrid). The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and interested in working directly with clients and managing complex data projects. As part of our team, you will work on large environmental projects across North America, and support ERM projects worldwide.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with a technical team to design and develop data solutions for clients related to environmental, EHS, and sustainability projects.
• Develop proposals.
• Manage and coordinate large projects with a team of technical staff.
• Work with ERM’s Technical Communities to develop innovative data services and automated workflows.
• Interact and maintain successful relationships with clients, ERM project teams, and subcontractors.
• Perform and manage multiple tasks within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
REQUIREMENTS:
• BS/BA degree in an environmental or data management/analytics related field.
• 4+ (7+ years preferred) of previous work experience in environmental data management with strong data analysis and database management skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Earthsoft’s EQuIS and EQuIS Enterprise
• Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
• Intermediate experience directing the construction of dashboards such as Power BI and Tableau
• Exposure to or experience directing application development and/or coding such as SQL, R, VBA, or Python
• Experience preparing proposals and working directly with clients
• Experience coordinating projects and teams
• Ability to continually analyze data at all stages for problems, logic, and consistency.
• Ability to manage and readjust workload to meet changing deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
• Experience with EQuIS modules including SPM and Collect.
• Experience with SSMS.
• Experience managing a team of technical staff.
