Job Description

Renewable Concepts LLC is seeking a Major Components Wind Technician in Neodesha, KS. The role involves heavy rigging and maintenance of wind turbines, requiring experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components. Candidates must have two years of relevant experience, be able to climb heights, and work flexible hours, including weekends. The position offers benefits such as health insurance and a 401(k) plan, with a salary range of $62.4k to $93.6k annually.
We are searching for skilled and experienced Major Components Technician with solid experience working with on wind turbines and who can conduct heavy rigging operations to facilitate replacement components. This role requires in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in handling various types of maintenance and diagnosing issues to ensure optimal functionality of wind turbines. We are seeking experienced Wind Turbine Technicians with knowledge from a variety of platforms. In this position, you must be able to repair mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical components.



Troubleshoot and repair significant corrective operational issues on utility-sized wind turbines per the project descriptionConduct heavy rigging operations to facilitate replacement components. such has main bearings, drive shafts, generators, and rotor swapsAbility to call a conventional cranePerform all major component exchanges in accordance with specified proceduresPerform repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical component replacements to correct malfunctionsProperly utilize and maintain all mandated safety equipmentRepresent the company culture of safety, quality, and integrity dailyComply with all safety rules in accordance with company, customer, and government regulations and guidelinesExhibit positive, courteous behavior with customers, contractors, suppliers, and co-workersAccurately complete and submit required service reports, timecards, expense reports, and other required company reports in a timely manner for the onsite teamWillingness to continually embrace personal and professional development


Requirements

Two years of experience doing major corrective workFundamental electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical skillsAbility to read and understand schematics by various wind turbine manufacturersAbility to climb 300 feet or more regularlyCompletion of all required training in a satisfactory manner and timeframeAbility to lead and participate in on-the-job training with on-site personnelAbility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as neededAbility to Regularly work 50+ hours a weekBasic computer skillsAbility to travel for up to 6 weeks at a timeAbility to lift 50+ pounds regularlyAbility to work in inclement weather


Education:

High School DiplomaOSHA 10 or OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, First Aid/CPR, and Tower Rescue certificates preferredMust have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
