Environmental Protection Services Holdings LLC is seeking a Controller for their Carson City, NV office. This full-time role involves managing financial operations, including accounting, job costing, and compliance oversight. The Controller will work closely with leadership to enhance financial visibility and support profitability. Candidates should have a strong background in construction accounting, experience with KPI reporting, and leadership skills. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and QuickBooks Online experience are required.
Environmental Protection Services (EPS)
Onsite Position in Carson City, NV (20 minutes from Reno and Sparks)
Full-Time Environmental Protection Services (EPS) is seeking a disciplined, hands-on Controller to lead and manage the company's financial operations. This role is ideal for a construction-accounting professional who thrives in a structured environment and is ready to take ownership of financial reporting, job costing accuracy, KPI reporting, and internal controls. The Controller will be co-managed by the Group Controller and President and serve as a key financial partner to operations leadership, stakeholders and investors. Position Overview The Controller will oversee daily accounting operations while building financial visibility tools that support profitability and long-term growth. This position requires strong construction GAP accounting experience, job costing, inventory management, and compliance oversight. This role also leads the company's accounting and administrative division, ensuring strong coordination between financial, HR, and procurement functions. Leadership Responsibilities The Controller will oversee and manage:Human Resources RepresentativeAccounts Receivable RepresentativeAccounts Payable RepresentativeProcurement ManagerThis role is responsible for creating structure, accountability, workflow alignment, and performance standards across the division. Key Responsibilities Financial Operations & ReportingOversee full-cycle accounting and month-end closePrepare accurate monthly financial statementsEnsure job-cost accuracyManage inventory controls and cost alignmentKPI Development & Performance MetricsMaintain company-wide financial KPIsTrack gross margin by project and divisionMonitor labor productivity and burden ratesManage cash flow forecasting modelsDeliver monthly financial dashboards to ownershipIdentify margin erosion and operational inefficienciesConstruction Accounting OversightEnsure alignment between vendor invoices and customer billingMonitor cost overruns and job performanceSupport project managers with financial reporting toolsStrengthen job-cost coding and internal controlsInternal Controls & ComplianceEstablish and enforce financial controlsCoordinate with external CPA for tax and year-end reportingAttend weekly accounting meetingsEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal regulationsOversee all insurance reporting and audit requirements (Not employee related)QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance5–8+ years of accounting experienceStrong construction accounting experience requiredDemonstrated experience with job costingExperience with KPI dashboards and financial reporting systemsExperience managing or supervising staffQuickBooks Online experience a MUSTCPA strongly preferred.
