JOB SUMMARY The Land Acquisition and Management Officer will support the identification, assessment, acquisition, documentation, and management of landed properties suitable for the Company’s real estate and agricultural development projects. The role requires professionals with backgrounds in Agricultural Science, Forestry, Agricultural Economics, or Organic Farm Management who can effectively evaluate land suitability, environmental considerations, agricultural value, and long-term land utilization potential.


The officer will also support stakeholder engagement, community relations, land inspection activities, and land management operations in line with the Company’s strategic expansion objectives.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Land Identification & Acquisition


Identify suitable lands for acquisition based on organizational development objectives.


Conduct preliminary land assessments and site inspections.


Assist in negotiations with landowners, communities, and relevant stakeholders.


Support due diligence and land verification processes.


Agricultural & Environmental Assessment


Assess soil quality, vegetation, environmental suitability, and agricultural viability of proposed lands.


Evaluate lands for farming, forestry, conservation, or estate development purposes.


Provide recommendations on sustainable land utilization and management practices.


Land Documentation & Compliance


Assist in land documentation processes and maintain accurate land records.


Ensure compliance with environmental, agricultural, and land-use regulations.


Support processing of title documents and acquisition approvals.


Stakeholder & Community Engagement


Maintain cordial relationships with host communities and local stakeholders.


Support conflict resolution and community engagement activities relating to land matters.


Participate in sensitization and field communication exercises where required.


Land Management & Monitoring


Monitor acquired lands to prevent encroachment and unauthorized activities.


Conduct periodic inspections and reporting on land status and utilization.


Support implementation of land development and management initiatives.


Reporting & Administration


Prepare site inspection reports, acquisition updates, and land management reports.


Maintain accurate records of land locations, sizes, ownership details, and acquisition status.


Provide periodic operational updates to Management.


REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must possess any of the following qualifications:


B.Sc./HND in Agricultural Science


Forestry
Agricultural Economics
Organic Farm Management
Or any related discipline
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES


Strong analytical and land assessment skills


Good communication and negotiation abilities


Knowledge of agricultural and environmental practices


Ability to work in field environments and rural communities


Strong reporting and documentation skills


Teamwork and stakeholder management abilities


Basic knowledge of land laws and acquisition processes is an added advantage
