Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Junior Designer - Packaging with strong expertise in SolidWorks to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in designing innovative packaging solutions, creating 3D models, and ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable packaging designs for various products.

Responsibilities

Packaging Design & Development
Create 2D and 3D packaging designs using SolidWorks.
Develop structural and functional packaging solutions as per product requirements.
Modify and improve existing packaging designs to enhance efficiency.

Prototyping & Testing
Generate prototypes for packaging concepts and ensure feasibility.
Conduct structural tests to assess durability and compliance with quality standards.

Material Selection & Cost Optimization
Work with the procurement and production teams to select cost-effective packaging materials.
Ensure that designs align with sustainability goals and industry regulations.

Technical Documentation
Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and BOMs (Bill of Materials) for production.
Maintain design records and update documentation as per modifications.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams
Work closely with sales, production, and marketing teams to understand packaging requirements.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for material testing and sample approval.

Innovation & Industry Trends
Stay updated with the latest trends in packaging design and materials.
Implement creative and efficient solutions to improve packaging aesthetics and functionality.

Qualifications

Diploma/Bachelors Degree in Packaging Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.

Experience

1-3 years of experience in packaging design, with strong proficiency in SolidWorks.

Technical Skills
Hands-on experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other 3D modeling software.
Knowledge of different packaging materials (corrugated boxes, plastics, eco-friendly alternatives).
Understanding of die-cutting, folding, and printing processes.

Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail with excellent visualization and creativity.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.,
