Job Description

Ethos Beath Chapman Idibu is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst/Associate in Singapore. The role involves executing cross-border M&A transactions, supporting senior bankers, conducting financial analyses, and managing client relationships. Candidates should have 2-6 years of M&A advisory experience and strong quantitative skills. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary range of SGD 150K–SGD 200K per year. Willingness to travel is required.

Responsibilities would include:
Work with clients and participate in the execution of cross-border M&A transactionsProvide support to senior investment banking professionals to develop marketing leads and ideas to generate new businessDefine and prepare financial and technical analysis for various M&A engagements covering both public and private companies, including buyside, sellside, corporate carve-outs, and cross-border M&A situationsAssist senior bankers in process managementSupport negotiations and preparation of key transaction documents including confidentiality agreements, merger agreements, sale leaseback agreements, asset purchase agreements, other ancillary documents and deal marketing materialsConduct due diligence and assess sellers’ and target business’s plans, growth prospects and financial performancePerform valuation analysis and apply diverse methodologies, including comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, leveraged buyout analysis, and discounted cash flow analysis Attend and actively participate in meetings with clients’ senior team members

Profile of ideal candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in any disciplineMinimum 3-6 years’ (Associate) and 2-3 years’ (Senior Analyst) M&A advisory experience in an investment bankStrong quantitative and accounting skillsExperience working on deals through the entire execution phase; experience working on cross-border mandates would be a plusEffective client management skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong work ethic, a team player, organized and with high level of attention to detailWillingness to travel as needed
