Job Description

Marina Bay Sands is hiring an Intern for Sustainability (Culture & Capacity Building) in Singapore. Responsibilities include supporting sustainable event planning, creating communication materials, pursuing environmental certifications, and assisting with sustainability initiatives and research. The role requires a passion for environmental issues and strong organizational and communication skills. No prior experience is required, and candidates should have relevant academic backgrounds.

Job Responsibilities

Support the planning and execution of sustainable events, leading the delivery of post-event impact reports.

Support the development of sustainability communication materials for internal and external audiences. (e.g. website, social media, newsletters, internal news & announcements)

Support the organization’s pursuit of environmental certifications & awards, including documentation and audit sessions. (e.g. ISO20121, ISO14001, GSTC, EIC)

Drive concept and operationalization of new sustainability initiatives, using creativity & persuasion to pioneer projects, eg reduction of single use disposables, circularity and other innovations.

Support the preparation and copywriting of organization’s annual Responsible Business Report.

Assist with the planning, communication, and execution of sustainability activities and internal training materials for Team Members.

Assist in planning, coordination and execution of sustainability tours around the property.

Assist in photo and video shoots for organization’s sustainability assets.

Conduct research and analysis of emerging industry trends and regulations on sustainability.

Support research projects for corporate initiatives and strategy planning.



Job Requirements

Education & Certification

From related academic disciplines in Marketing, Communications, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering or Social Sciences



Experience

No prior experience required.



Other Prerequisites

Possess strong passion, interest and curiosity in environmental and social issues

Ability to analyze data and articulate business value of sustainability

Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work independently and within a multi-cultural team

Excellent organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and strong ability in time management

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Confident in leading conversations with both internal and external audiences
