The Axel Group is seeking an Environmental Scientist for our client's team in the Camden County, NJ area. This role involves managing environmental investigation and remediation projects from initial assessment through regulatory closure. The ideal candidate will have experience with environmental site assessments, remediation, regulatory compliance, and managing field investigations while maintaining strong communication with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities:

Manage environmental investigation and remediation projects from assessment through closureOversee Phase I & Phase II ESAs, soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion investigationsConduct environmental sampling and site investigations as neededPrepare technical reports, assessments, and regulatory documentation based on environmental data and site findingsSupport NJDEP compliance and the LSRP processCoordinate field activities, contractors, schedules, and project deliverablesManage client communication, budgets, and project timelinesRequirements:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related discipline.Proven experience managing environmental site investigations and remediation projectsExperience with Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and environmental due diligenceStrong background managing soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion investigationsKnowledge of NJDEP regulations and environmental remediation processes preferredStrong technical writing and reporting skillsExcellent organizational, communication, and project management abilitiesCompensation:
