Job Description
Alignerr is seeking an Environmental Management Scientist (AI Training) to enhance AI systems with expertise in sustainability and environmental decision-making. This fully remote, flexible contract role involves reviewing AI-generated environmental scenarios and providing structured feedback. Candidates should have over 3 years of experience in environmental management and be self-motivated. The position offers hourly pay between $30 and $55 and requires 10-40 hours of commitment per week.
About The Role
We're looking for environmental management professionals to help train and improve the next generation of AI systems. Your real-world expertise in sustainability, land-use planning, and environmental decision-making will directly shape how AI understands and communicates complex environmental topics.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role — work on your own schedule while making a tangible impact on cutting-edge AI development.

What You'll Do
Review and evaluate AI-generated environmental management scenarios, analyses, and recommendationsAssess the quality of AI reasoning related to sustainability frameworks, impact mitigation, and resource planningIdentify gaps between theoretical approaches and real-world environmental practiceProvide clear, structured feedback to improve the accuracy and applicability of AI outputsWork independently and asynchronously to complete task-based assignments on your own schedule
Who You Are
3+ years of hands-on experience in environmental management, conservation, or a related fieldStrong working knowledge of sustainability frameworks and environmental planning processesAble to critically assess written environmental analyses and identify weaknessesComfortable delivering detailed, structured written feedbackSelf-motivated and reliable when working independently
Nice to Have
Master's degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, or a related disciplineExperience with environmental policy, regulatory frameworks, or complianceFamiliarity with AI tools or content evaluation workflowsBackground in land-use planning, ecological assessment, or climate adaptation
