Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled Environmental Impact Specialist: Climate Risk Manager to join our team.
In this role, you will contribute to advancing our understanding and application of climate risk assessments, developing innovative methodologies and insights on decarbonisation and climate risk resilience. You will be responsible for identifying, quantifying and assessing the cost and effectiveness of the best available strategies and technologies to drive decarbonization and climate risk resilience across multiple sectors.
You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to create innovative tools and models for climate risk assessments, helping us understand and mitigate the financial implications of climate change on asset prices and investment management.
Key responsibilities include:
• Analysing technological innovations that can drive decarbonisation across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions in various sectors.
• Developing and refining methodologies for accurately costing individual decarbonisation and resilience strategies.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to create innovative tools and models for climate risk assessments.
• Engaging with the financial sector and industry to align research outputs with customer needs and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• A master's degree in climate science, civil and environmental engineering, economics, supply chain management or a related field.
• Strong expertise in assessing, designing and costing climate resilience strategies.
• Proven ability to conduct interdisciplinary research and develop practical applications of scientific findings.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
