Providing environmental support services to critical industries requires commitment, focus and creativity. Michels' operations and field crews depend on support from our in-house Environmental Department with environmental/regulatory experts to advance our operations and critical infrastructure projects.

As an Environmental Coordinator, your key responsibility will be to coordinate and maintain Michels' environmental program. This position will focus on proactive environmental field compliance and risk management (e.g., air, water, waste, biodiversity) for Michels operations and our construction projects. You will review scopes of work, draft construction permits and compliance plans, collect and analyze multi-media sampling, perform environmental observations and audits, and track and manage regulatory reporting requirements. The anticipated salary range is $94,000 - $129,250 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Prefer Bachelor or Associate degree with emphasis in environmental studies, natural sciences, engineering, or related field. Advanced training or education in Environmental or Technical Field, with equivalent years may be acceptable.5+ years of environmental compliance or related construction experience in energy and utility construction markets.Knowledgeable with environmental construction compliance topics and applicable regulations, including but not limited to storm water best management, process water control, waste storage and disposal, general air compliance, and fuel storage.Problem solving skills, including listening to internal and external stakeholders to develop collaborative solutions.Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. With strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.Ability to communicate effectively with different audience types both in-person and using technology (e.g. PowerPoint, TEAMS).Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required.Data review and trend analysis.Preference with experience in ArcGIS.Preference with experience with linear infrastructure projects.Travel 30% to 60% in Midwest US states.A valid driver's license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record.
