• Job Title: Environmental Chemist I

Work with the Environment, Health and Safety Laboratory (EHS Lab) to ensure accurate data generation during chemical assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine tests on non-potable environmental samples collected at the waste treatment plant to ensure environmental compliance.
• Participate in special project work, analytical method upkeep, and data reporting.
• Perform wet chemistry tests on samples to monitor waste effluent and treatment plant performance.
• Troubleshoot experiments, instruments, and note significant data deviations.
• Maintain a chemical inventory system and order supplies accordingly.
• Sanction internal and external laboratories for environmental sample analysis.
• Communicate results to stakeholders and issue reports to internal customers.
Requirements:
• Background in chemistry or similar sciences (lab experience preferred).
• Familiarity with MS Excel and Word.
• Attention to detail and great organizational skills.
• Able to perform tasks independently under minimal supervision.
• Willingness to build customer relations and communicate with stakeholders.
