Job Description
The State of Utah is seeking an Environmental Scientist in Salt Lake City, UT, to conduct research, analyze data, and develop environmental policies. The role requires strong knowledge of environmental issues, excellent communication skills, and collaboration with various stakeholders. Analyze data collected through research and present findings to relevant parties.
Develop and recommend environmental policies and regulations based on research and data analysis.
Collaborate with other members of the environmental team to ensure accurate and comprehensive research.
Stay up-to-date on current environmental laws and regulations.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including government officials, community members, and other relevant organizations.
Provide expertise and guidance on environmental issues to support decision-making processes.
Conduct field work to gather data and monitor environmental conditions.
Use various software and tools to analyze and manipulate data.
Identify potential environmental risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
Stay informed on emerging environmental technologies and trends.
Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and other organizations to advance environmental initiatives.
Conduct outreach and education efforts to raise awareness about environmental issues.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
Represent the state of Utah at environmental conferences and meetings.
