SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking a Licensed Electrical Journeyman that will be responsible for providing skilled craftsmanship for maintenance and installation of electrical systems.



RESPONSIBILITIES

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power toolsConnect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other componentsTest electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of systemInstall, repair, and maintain motors, transformers, generators, lights, appliances, circuits, wiring, and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulationsStudy plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs and/or installationsRepair and maintain high voltage systemsOrganize work by receiving and studying work orders; gather tools and suppliesRead prints, layout work, and install new serviceRepair electrical problems by replacing faulty parts and componentsMaintain electrical systems by conducting system tests; complete preventive maintenance requirementsKeep supplies ready by placing ordersMaintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures; comply with codesUpdate job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; read technical publicationsAccomplish maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as neededContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededEffectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsAll other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GEDMinimum two years of related experienceTrade or technical school certification/diplomaApprentice aptitude test
