The position is based in the office and not remote.
## Treasury Operations Expert

- Assistant Vice President

Deutsche Bank is seeking an experienced Treasury Operations Expert at the Assistant Vice President level to join our Manila office. This role sits at the heart of our Treasury Operations team, which drives the planning and day-to-day management of our business in alignment with the bank's mission and strategic goals.

### About the Role

You'll be responsible for managing a dynamic operations function that requires both precision and agility. Day-to-day, you'll ensure all deliverables meet our Service Level Agreements while maintaining the highest quality standards. You'll oversee MIS reviews, daily reports, and work allocation, responding promptly to queries and managing escalations of aged or high-value breaks with careful assessment of their potential impact.

A significant part of your responsibility involves running daily team huddles to discuss staffing adequacy, procedure and control sufficiency, and priorities for each day. You'll conduct root cause analysis and documentation to fix issues at their source, working closely with upstream teams and end users to identify weaknesses or insufficiencies in processes and controls. This includes understanding how changes in the operating environment and market trends affect process flows from both system and process perspectives.

You'll prepare daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards and plans for internal reviews, audits, and walkthroughs. Training needs identification is crucial—you'll partner with your VP to improve team performance, ensure knowledge of common errors and how to prevent or correct them, and coordinate cross-training and back-up planning alongside seating, equipment, and technology considerations.

Beyond day-to-day management, you'll track and close open and risk-accepted self-identified issues, identify and prioritize product and service improvement opportunities, and develop implementation plans. You'll contribute to global projects and business objectives, work on feedback areas from monthly one-on-ones with your VP, and utilize comprehensive knowledge of our internal operations to develop forward-looking strategies. Proactively identifying and managing areas of risk while supporting bank strategy is essential, as is maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders including regulators, market vendors, and internal divisions. You'll also communicate operational requirement changes and their impact on relevant processes and controls.

### Your Background

You'll need a minimum of 10 years of experience in Investment Banking. Hands-on, working knowledge of Treasury, Issuance, Swaps, and trade booking functioning is essential. Treasury or Margin MO and BO market knowledge would be a significant advantage. You should have a strong grasp of the basics of Issuance, Treasury, Money Market, and Nostro Management.

Experience handling teams both regionally and virtually is required. You must be well-versed in Microsoft Office and have working knowledge of systems like Summit, Kondor, ACS, TLM, and Manual Payments. Understanding of required exchange systems and interfaces is necessary. Your ability to turn around BAU accurately even under tight deadlines with strong problem-solving agility is critical.

### Education and Qualifications

You should hold a degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field, or demonstrate a minimum of 10 years of work experience in a Banking or Finance environment. Experience working in global, cross-matrix reporting organizations is important. A background in Treasury, Margin, Rates, Credit, FX, Securities, or Liquidity Management is expected. Microsoft Excel skills to a good standard are required.

Good communication and interpersonal skills are important for success in this role. You should be willing to take on responsibility and learn new tasks to guide your team even at ground levels. Flexibility in working hours and adherence to firm policies and guidelines regarding work, shift, and coverage requirements are essential.

### What We Offer

We're committed to providing an environment where your development and wellbeing are at the center. You can expect a competitive salary, attractive retirement benefits, and medical and life insurance upon employment. You'll receive 20 days of annual vacation leave.

You'll also benefit from training and development to help you excel in your career, coaching and support from experts in your team, and a culture of continuous learning to aid your progression.
