We are hiring: Business Development Associate – Johannesburg

We’re looking for a commercially minded and analytical Business Development Associate to support Africa GreenCo’s market growth in South Africa. This role blends opportunity development, financial modelling, and transaction support in a fast-paced, evolving energy market.

You will play a key role in:

•⁠ ⁠Developing and managing a pipeline of C&I and IPP opportunities

•⁠ ⁠Supporting commercial structuring, pricing, and PPA/CPPA development

•⁠ ⁠Building financial models and analysing tariffs, margins, and bankability

•⁠ ⁠Coordinating proposals, bids, and multi-stakeholder workstreams

•⁠ ⁠Engaging customers, IPPs, advisors, and wider market partners

We are looking for someone with:

•⁠ ⁠A degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or related field

•⁠ ⁠4 years’ experience in energy, finance, procurement, transactions, or commercial roles

•⁠ ⁠Strong analytical and financial modelling capability

•⁠ ⁠Solid understanding of commercial power markets and project finance fundamentals

•⁠ ⁠Excellent written and verbal communication skills
