Graduate Energy Consultant

Assegai Recruitment is hiring a Graduate Energy Consultant in Cape Town, South Africa. The position requires a BSc/BEng in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, with 6 months to 2 years of experience in renewable energies. The role involves supporting the energy consulting team in project management and business development for renewable projects like PV, wind, and battery storage, while developing financial acumen in energy project finance.
Seeking an Graduate Electrical Engineer with around 6 months to 2 years experience in renewable energies to join a leading engineering consultancy's Energy Division in Cape Town.

The role will support the further growth and service delivery of the energy consulting team with a particular focus on multi-disciplinary engineering aspects of projects but also business development support and project management support of PV, wind, battery storage, green hydrogen and mini/micro-grid projects.

Knowledge on grid-connections and large project context will be developed.

Financial acumen with respect to energy projects and project finance will be built in order to support the Project Manager and delivery of lenders technical advisory, owner's engineer and design services within the renewable energy sector across the project lifecycle.

Requirements:
• BSc/ BEng. Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
• Preferably with a Masters in Renewable Energy
