Job Description

The Associate-Carbon Offsets at cKinetics in India focuses on project execution and research in Carbon Offsets and Carbon Dioxide Removal. As an Associate-Carbon Offsets at cKinetics, your primary focus will be on project execution and research delivery in the areas of Carbon Offsets and Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) segment. Your role will involve contributing to Market Intelligence & Data Insights products and consulting/advisory engagements. Here are the key responsibilities you will be handling:

- Market Research Primary & Secondary:
- Conduct in-depth research on voluntary and compliance offset markets
- Track market trends including pricing, supply-demand dynamics, and key ecosystem developments
- Analyze global policy and regulatory developments relevant to offsets and carbon credit markets
- Conduct primary research like stakeholder interviews and expert consultations

- Data & Insights Development:
- Assist in building and maintaining quality datasets
- Analyze datasets to generate insights and visuals for internal and client deliverables
- Support the development of repeatable data processes, dashboards, and trackers

- Project & Client Delivery Support:
- Own and execute assigned workstreams within market intelligence products and consulting engagements
- Develop client-ready storylines, recommendations, and workshop content
- Prepare content for webinars, reports, and industry events
- Lead and contribute to webinars and internal discussions by presenting research findings

- Time Management:
- Adhere strictly to task completion timelines with requisite quality
- Maintain detailed documentation and records aligned with internal quality requirements

In order to excel in this role, you will need to possess strong research, analytical, and synthesis skills, excellent written and spoken communication skills, and experience in primary and secondary research. Additionally, you should have a master's degree in disciplines related to Energy, Environmental Management, Economics, or Finance with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of tools like MS Office suite, Advanced Excel, Power BI, and SQL will be beneficial.
