Conduct field assessments and surveys to identify potential wildfire risks and hazards.
Develop and implement forest management plans to mitigate fire risks and promote forest resilience.
Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to coordinate wildfire prevention and response efforts.
Conduct prescribed burns and other vegetation management activities to reduce fuel loads and prevent catastrophic wildfires.
Monitor and analyze forest conditions, including vegetation growth and water availability, to inform management decisions.
Maintain accurate records and data related to forest management activities and outcomes.
Educate and engage local communities and landowners on wildfire prevention and preparedness measures.
Stay current on industry trends, research, and best practices related to wildfire resilience and incorporate them into management plans.
Collaborate with other team members and participate in trainings and professional development opportunities.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working in the field.
Represent the agency and communicate effectively with stakeholders, including government officials, community members, and media outlets.
Uphold ethical standards and promote a positive image of the agency and its mission.
Participate in emergency response efforts, including fire suppression and recovery activities, as needed.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude, even in challenging and high-pressure situations.
