Job Description
Upwork is seeking a skilled Unity Environment Artist to create a semi-realistic environment for an interactive project. The role involves building an underserved town, clinic, working space, and home interior in Unity, following a provided storyboard and visual style. Key skills include 3D modeling, proficiency in Unity, and strong texturing abilities. The position is remote and requires the artist to start immediately.
We are looking for a skilled Unity Environment Artist / 3D Environment Artist to build a complete semi-realistic environment for an interactive project.
The environment will include a full exterior underserved town, a clinic, a working space, and a small home interior. A storyboard and visual style reference will be provided to guide the layout, mood, and overall art direction.
Scope of Work:
* Build a full exterior town environment in Unity based on the provided storyboard
* Create an underserved town/community feel with simple short buildings
* Add environmental details such as grass, trees, pathways, props, and surrounding elements
* Model and texture a clinic interior with 2 rooms
* Model and texture a working space
* Model and texture a small home interior with 2 rooms
* Follow the provided visual style reference for the semi-realistic look
* Create clean layouts inside Unity
* Apply high-quality semi-realistic texturing
* Adjust lighting, atmosphere, and scene composition
* Optimize assets and scenes for smooth use inside Unity
Required Skills:
* Strong 3D modeling experience
* Proficiency in Unity environment setup
* Strong texturing skills, preferably using Substance Painter
* Ability to create semi-realistic environments
* Good understanding of lighting, layout, and scene composition
* Ability to work from a storyboard and style reference
* Ability to organize files and assets properly
* Textures and materials organized properly
* Clean and organized Unity scene hierarchy
Final Deliverables:
* Complete Unity project
* All FBX files
* Substance Painter source files
