Summary/Objective The sustainability program specialist supports SIMONA America Group’s sustainability strategy through execution, coordination, and data management. This role collaborates within the department to ensure continuity, accuracy, and timely delivery of sustainability and training initiatives, reporting, and facility-level engagement.



Reports to the Director of Training & Sustainability, this position plays a key role in managing sustainability data collection, reporting preparation, project execution, and cross-facility coordination, helping maintain alignment with SIMONA AG standards and global ESG frameworks. This role will work closely with facility operations management, production management, technical teams, sustainability teams, and outside organizations as needed. This role is expected to support shared program coordination, tracking, and reporting activities across the training and sustainability department.

Sustainability Data and Program Support


Coordinates Scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions data collection across North American Facilities
Support sustainability reporting aligned with SIMONA AG standards, CSRD requirements, and EU Taxonomy
Manage data validation, documentation, and quality control for sustainability and training metrics
Prepare draft reports, data summaries, and supporting documentation for internal and external use
Support Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) data collection and execution activities


Project Execution and Facility Coordination


Support execution of sustainability initiatives including circularity projects, energy efficiency, and resource reduction efforts
Coordinate with facilities, consultants, and internal stakeholders to track deliverables
Present data and KPIs internally as needed
Present Sustainability related initiatives and project updates as needed.
Coordinate facility-level KPIs, timelines, and follow-ups
Assist with certifications, audits, and compliance-related initiatives (ISO, OCS, etc.)


Measurement, Data, & Department Initiatives


Support training alignment for global and cross-functional initiatives (S4/HANA, future AI integration, global training rollouts)
Maintain sustainability and training-related data trackers and documentation
Support survey data collection and basic analysis related to sustainability and training
Support culture and change initiatives aligned with SIMONA’s “Company Like a Friend” values.


Stakeholder & Consultant Coordination


Coordinate with external consultants and partners to support sustainability projects and reporting
Track deliverables, timelines, and follow-ups to ensure completion
Support internal communication and alignment across facilities and departments



Education & Experience


Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
Three to five years of experience in ESG, EHS, Engineering, Operations, Analytics, or related fields
Experience working with data driven programs across multiple teams or facilities preferred

Comfortable coordinating across multiple sites and stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Travel Required:


20-30% travel, including facility visits, group alignment meetings, and industry engagement.



Supervisory Responsibility


No current supervisory responsibilities but must effectively influence and collaborate with on-site managers to achieve training objectives.



Work Environment This job is performed in an office and training settings.



Physical Demands


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.



Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time salary exempt position. Hours of work are general Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day. 40 hours per week. Some additional hours are expected.

Salary:


Starting at $80,000 with up to 10% bonus potential
