Responsibilities and dutiesReporting to the Area Manager you will:Ensure the best performance of large-scale solar assetsPerform operations and maintenance duties across the portfolio of solar sites in Chichester and the surrounding areas, perhaps travelling further on occasion for business needEnsure adherence to all HSE requirements when completing your dutiesTest both DC and AC systems, looking for faults and tracing issuesConduct firmware updates and use computer systems to look for issues with the assetsGain Authorised Person status after received trainingConsistent inspection, maintenance and testing of the systemsLooking for trends and using data analysis to see if you can spot any common trends and suggest ways to improve operations as a resultOccasional assistance with tasks such as solar panel cleaning, some ground maintenance and site CCTVOccasional working way from your patch/area and be flexible to help when the business needs tProfessional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:Level 3 in electrical installations as a minimum18th edition wiring regsIdeally you will have C&G 2391 or equivalentA HSE qualification is desiredExperience within a solar or BESS environment is hugely preferredUK driving licence is essentialPersonal skillsThe Solar Technician role would suit someone who is:Flexible with location and in travelling outside of your patch on occasionExperience liaising with third parties and troubleshootingExperience reading, writing and assessing RAMS is hugely beneficialSomeone who wants to learn and make a genuine differenceSalary and benefits of the Solar Technician roleA starting salary up to £40,000 depending on experienceBonus, overtime and increased pay for on call rotaPPE, toolkit, work van (for business purposes) provided and annual leaveAdditional company benefits 33 days holiday (inc.
