Solar Design Engineer – Post Sales

Synergy Corporation is seeking a Solar Design Engineer for post-sales in Karachi, Pakistan. The role involves designing and optimizing large-scale solar PV systems, preparing technical documentation, conducting on-site assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 1-3 years of experience in solar design. Proficiency in AutoCAD and solar design tools is required.
Job Objective To design and optimize solar PV systems post-sales, ensuring accurate execution of projects in line with client requirements, site conditions, and industry standards.


Key Responsibilities



Design and optimize a large-scale solar PV system to maximize energy output, considering factors like panel orientation, tilt, and shading analysis


Prepared detailed technical documentation, including comprehensive engineering drawings, specifications, BOS, and reports, to guide the operations team and contractors as well.


Develop designs for the structural components of solar energy systems, including support structures, mounting systems, and foundations


Develop designs for the electrical components of solar energy systems, including selections of cables, switchgears, and other protection devices


Choose appropriate materials for structural elements, considering factors like durability, cost-effectiveness, and environmental impact


Use CAD software to create detailed 3d models and drawings for the implementation of structural components


Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate ground conditions, topography, and other factors influencing the structure design of solar installations


Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, industry standards, and local regulations, considering factors like wind loads and seismic considerations.



Required Qualifications



Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.


1–3 years of experience in solar design or renewable energy projects.



Skills & Competencies





Proficiency in AutoCAD and solar design tools (PVsyst, Helioscope).


Strong knowledge of solar PV systems (on-grid/off-grid/hybrid).


Understanding of electrical design and system integration.


Good problem-solving and analytical skills.


Strong coordination and communication abilities.


Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
