The Shift Supervisor (Night Shift) plays a key role in supporting daily production operations. This position assists in overseeing production staff, ensuring equipment is operated safely and efficiently, maintaining quality standards, and helping the team meet daily production goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages production jobs for efficiency, meeting or improving upon standards for setup times, waste, and output to meet set production goals. Ensures standard operating conditions are followed per machine, per job. Continuously motivates and challenges operators to set higher, yet achievable goals and provides support to attain them. Adheres to and enforces the established safety, quality and safety policies and procedures and other regulations. Ensures these procedures and expectations are maintained throughout the shift and validates that the associated inspections are performed. Makes judgment calls on quality issues, as needed. Continuously monitors the Bag and Extruder Departments to ensure that all material, product, and equipment inspections are being completed according to Department procedures. Spot checks for defects/malfunctions throughout the shift and coordinates the proper resources to address the issues. Continuously motivating and coaching Bag and Extruder Department personnel to increase engagement and attain higher levels of competency in the performance of their duties. Conducts formal performance reviews at predetermined intervals and recommends personnel action changes with the Plant Manager. Manages personnel complaints, settles disputes and resolves grievances and conflicts working with HR and Plant manager as needed. Ensures that all components required to complete a job are present before a changeover is started. Qualifications:

Education: HS diploma required. Experience: 2+ years' experience in a lead capacity in a fast-paced environment. Skills: Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a minimum of 2 + years in a lead role overseeing 12 or more front-line employees. Basic to intermediate computer operation skills; Experience with web-based software, such as Word and Excel. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Employment eligibility will be verified through E-Verify. Bi-lingual skills (English / Spanish) are a plus but not required. Physical Demands

Works in a manufacturing environment and will be required to wear hearing, foot, and/or other personal protective equipment while performing duties in a manufacturing setting. May, on a continuous basis, stand/walk for up to 12 hours per shift as well as stoop and kneel frequently. May handle, feel and reach for items in and around work areas, also write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds may be required. The noise level in the work environment is usually medium to loud. Additional Tasks
