Senior Policy Analyst

Just Solutions Collective is seeking a Senior Policy Analyst to support environmental justice organizations in developing equitable climate policies. The role involves leveraging legal and analytical skills to engage with state and local EJ-CJ coalitions, especially in light of recent federal laws. This full-time position offers a salary of $115,000 to $125,000 and emphasizes professional development for BIPOC leaders.
Launched in March of 2021, the Just Solutions Collective is a BIPOC-led organization that works to broaden and deepen the understanding of equitable and effective climate policies and programs while strengthening the power and capacity of community partners to replicate, scale and build support for justice-centered solutions to the climate crisis. We do this through policy research and analysis, technical assistance, peer learning, strategic cross-sector partnerships, and targeted field building, with an emphasis on accelerating the sharing of policy analysis, solutions and models. Just Solutions is a values-driven organization that invests deeply in the professional development of BIPOC leaders within the organization and through our intentional partnerships with front-line communities.ABOUT THE POSITIONThis Senior Policy Analyst plays a lead role in the development and advancement of Just Solutions’ efforts to support the capacity of environmental justice-climate justice (EJ-CJ) organizations and coalitions that work on the state and local levels to develop, advance and implement equitable climate policy solutions. Given the urgency of the climate crisis and the opportunities created by recent federal laws, we have been asked to ramp up our federal-state policy strategy to support state-based EJ-CJ organizations and coalitions as they work to understand, engage in and shape decisions to align with their priorities and interests.To advance this ambitious goal, the Senior Policy Analyst leverages legal analytical skills and technical assistance to support the interests of EJ-CJ organizations. This position will bring a strong foundational knowledge of the policy landscape, and understand the utility of policy, advocacy, and litigation in driving towards Just Solutions’ desired impact.COMPENSATION$115,000 - $125,000HOW TO APPLY for more information or to apply.
