Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated professional for the position of Senior Geotechnical and Geo-Environmental Engineer. In this challenging role, you will take on crucial responsibilities such as:
• Acting as the technical lead for comprehensive design and construction services for geotechnical and geo-environmental engineering within the context of remediation and mining projects, including but not limited to landfills, slurry walls, sheet pile walls, sediment dredging, sediment capping, and the stabilization of contaminated materials.
• Planning, scheduling, and coordinating field investigations and laboratory testing across various project types and geological contexts.
• Defining, directing, and reviewing the analyses and reports related to complex geotechnical and geo-environmental projects.
• Overseeing the civil design aspects of projects, including the development of drawings, specifications, bid packages, and cost estimates for subcontractors.
• Providing engineering oversight during investigations and remedial construction activities.
• Developing project proposals by preparing detailed scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Collaborating as a key member of a multidisciplinary team focused on remediation and civil engineering projects.
• Exhibiting strong communication skills while interacting with clients in both public and private sectors.
• Offering mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, geologists, and technicians.

Certification/License Requirements: Professional Engineer

Employment Type: Regular

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical, Civil, Mining or Geologic Engineering, or a related discipline.
• A valid Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as required by project demands.
• Substitution of equivalent additional directly related experience for a degree is acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering.
• High-level technical competency with remedial design in environmentally impacted sites, such as Superfund and mining closure sites.
• Experience collaborating with various environmental professionals.
• Working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations.
• Familiarity with specialized geotechnical engineering software.
• Experience in geosynthetic design and installation in geo-environmental projects.
• OSHA HAZWOPER training or related certifications.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous.

Job Site Location: United States - Nationwide

Travel Required: 20%

Work Role: Fulltime-Regular

Pay Range: $119,829 - $209,726

Work Location Options: Hybrid work options may be considered for the successful candidate.
