Senior Environmental Scientist

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Scientist to join our client in Plainville, Connecticut. The Senior Scientist will play a key role in project teams, making major design decisions under the guidance of a Project Manager. Responsibilities include conducting Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, executing field tasks such as sampling and remedial construction management, and providing technical support for environmental compliance projects. The role also involves organizing project data, authoring reports, and managing project files. Strong communication, analytical, and technical writing skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline, with 3-5 years of experience in environmental consulting. Willingness to travel for short-term assignments and experience with AutoCAD and OSHA HAZWOPER training are preferred.

Salary - $70,000-$80,000

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

-Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, or a related science field. -At least 3.5 years of experience in Field testing. -Collection experience like: Soil Boring, Vaper samples, water samples, remediation soil evaporation, engineering control, vapor mitigation, NAPL(non-aqueous phase liquids)
