Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Secret Principal Policy Analyst - Climate in Arlington, VA, to support a federal program at the Pentagon. Responsibilities include leading DoD Climate Change Literacy initiatives, developing educational materials, integrating climate literacy into Professional Military Education, drafting policy documents, and analyzing legislation impacts on DoD policies. The position allows for telework after initial months and promotes a diverse and inclusive workplace. Candidates will work independently and represent the organization in communications with various stakeholders.
Insight Global is actively seeking a Policy Analyst Principal to join our team in support of a federal program primarily working onsite at the Pentagon.Telework would be an option after a few months of starting. Job duties include:
• Support role leading DoD Climate Change Literacy and participating in broader DOD climate change resilience activities.
• Develop educational content, training, and informational materials to promote FE&T's Climate Change Literacy program.
• Work with Professional Military Education (PME) resources and faculty to integrate Climate Change Literacy into PME programs.
• Draft statements, testimony, responses, briefing materials, and talking points.
• Communicate DoD policies, programs, and develop positions to support internal and external Climate Literacy engagements, including the interagency, Congress, U.S. allies and partners, the media, military and veteran support organizations, and the public.
• Assist in communicating Climate Change Literacy strategic vision and mission through document editing, alignment, and review.
• Draft policy documents related to Climate Change Literacy in a variety of formats, to include memorandums and instructions. Navigate the DoD issuance process and internal processes for coordination and publication. Coordinate with DoD-wide programs to address policy requirements.
• Review, research, analyze, and communicate the potential impacts of proposed legislation on DoD policies, programs, and positions related to the readiness of Service members and families.
• Candidate will work independently on customer site under general direction from management and will represent the organization in direct communication with customers.
