Job Description

Det Norske Veritas is hiring a Senior Energy Storage Consultant in Metro Manila, Philippines, to lead technical and advisory services for Battery Energy Storage System projects. Responsibilities include project management, technical design reviews, site inspections, and stakeholder communication. Candidates should have 5-10 years of relevant experience and a degree in engineering. The role requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to manage complex projects.
## Senior Energy Storage Consultant

We're looking for a Senior Energy Storage Consultant to lead and deliver technical, engineering, and advisory services for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the Philippines. This role is integral to strengthening our growing presence in the market, building on recent Owner's Engineer assignments and technical reviews we've successfully completed.

### What You'll Be Doing

As an Owner's Engineer, you'll take the lead on technical design reviews, quality audits, and compliance checks that align with the OE scopes we've already performed in the Philippines. You'll conduct site inspections during construction, commissioning, and testing phases, monitoring EPC and integrator performance while reviewing progress claims and validating that milestones are achieved. Safety workshops, HAZID reviews, and operational readiness assessments will be part of your routine engagement with projects.

Project management sits at the core of this position. You'll manage timelines, deliverables, resources, and stakeholder communication across multiple complex initiatives simultaneously. Working with multi-disciplinary teams—both local and regional—you'll ensure high-quality delivery and provide clear, concise reporting to clients and project sponsors.

Procurement and commercial work will require you to support tender preparation, develop technical specifications, and help shape Employer's Requirements documents. You'll conduct supplier evaluations, assist in technology and contract negotiations, and review bids while providing technical recommendations that guide decision-making.

Beyond project execution, you'll serve as a senior technical advisor to energy developers, utilities, financial institutions, and government stakeholders. Your technical insights and expertise will support business development efforts and proposal contributions. Industry events, client training sessions, and internal knowledge-sharing forums are opportunities where you'll help build our market presence and reputation.

### What We're Looking For

You'll bring 5–10 years of experience in energy storage, power systems, renewable energy, or EPC/OE roles. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related engineering field is essential.

Strong technical depth is critical: you need a solid understanding of BESS components, controls, safety standards, and grid requirements. Proven experience in project execution, technical reviews, construction supervision, or commissioning demonstrates you can deliver in real-world settings. You should have strong analytical and engineering review capabilities, with excellent communication and customer-facing skills that allow you to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Your ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously is essential. Familiarity with Philippine energy regulatory processes, permitting requirements, and utility interconnection is an advantage that would set you apart. Proficiency in technical writing and reporting will be important for documentation and client communication.

### What We Offer

We support your work-life balance with flexible work arrangements. You'll receive generous paid leave including Annual Leave, Compassionate Leave, Parental Leave, Marriage Leave, Maternity Leave, and Prolonged Illness coverage. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical coverage, maternity benefits, and robust pension and insurance policies encompassing Group Life Insurance, Salary Continuance Insurance, Worker's Compensation for all employees, and Corporate Business Travel Insurance.

Additional benefits such as Long Service Awards, Professional Membership support, Mobile Phone Reimbursement, and a Profit Share program round out our offering. Please note that specific benefits may vary based on your position level, tenure, contract type, and grade.
