Our client is on the hunt for a Senior Director of Sustainability to join their dynamic team. What you'll do:
As a Senior Director of Sustainability, your role will be pivotal in shaping and driving the organisation's sustainability aspirations. You will be at the forefront of developing and implementing the sustainability strategy, staying abreast of industry trends and managing all aspects of sustainability from energy to waste. Your expertise will also extend to setting up processes for ESG reporting and owning shared accountability of key sustainability metrics. Collaborating with various teams, you'll work on green innovation projects and foster partnerships that further our commitment to sustainability.
• Develop and be responsible for the sustainability strategy of the organisation
• Stay updated with sustainability industry trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic planning
• Manage end-to-end sustainability related matters to energy, water and waste
• Set up processes and controls for collecting, organising, and reporting ESG information
• Own shared accountability of the sustainability metrics e.g. PUE, WUE, carbon emission with the operations team
• Work with the strategy team on green innovation and partnerships with external parties
• Be responsible for the total sustainability budget to deliver the sustainability strategy
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Senior Director of Sustainability role brings a wealth of experience in both technical and sustainability domains. With your degree in Engineering, you've spent at least 12-15 years honing your skills in these areas. Your familiarity with green Data Centre requirements, energy management, environmental management systems, carbon management sustainability, coupled with your strong understanding of renewable energy landscapes sets you apart. Your proven track record in leading cross-functional teams to develop sustainability strategies, particularly in ICT operations and Data Centres, will be invaluable. Your project management skills will be key in managing tasks, costs and time effectively.
• Possess a Degree in Engineering i.e. Mechanical and Electrical/ Electronics Engineering
• Minimum 12-15 years of experience in a technical and/or sustainability domain
• Experienced in leading a cross-functional team to develop the sustainability strategies for mid and long term for ICT operations especially in Data Centres
• Familiar with green Data Centre requirements and operations, Energy Management and sourcing knowledge
• Experienced in environmental management system and carbon management sustainability
• Possess good project management skills such as ability to actively manage and balance task, cost and time
• Strong understanding of the Renewable energy landscape in the region
