Job Description: Retail Banker
As a Retail Banker at Rockland Trust, you are tasked with building and fostering strong relationships that serve to deliver an energetic banking experience for both customers and colleagues. Each day, you will use your unique skills to expand relationships with our client base by identifying financial needs, efficiently processing transactions, and offering appropriate products or services.
Demonstrating a genuine commitment to customer engagement and a collaborative sales approach, you provide a positive and energetic environment through proactive lobby management and customer interactions. What You'll Do:
Engage in meaningful conversations with valued clients in a consultative approach to establish rapport and deepen relationships, ensuring they trust you to resolve their financial issues.Collaborate with a team and operate independently to optimize customer engagement and sales opportunities, while also devising strategies to meet customers' financial needs.Expertly conduct traditional customer transactions with precision and adherence to prescribed rules and empowerment, including tasks such as check verification, deposit handling, and withdrawal processing for consumers and businesses alike.Address both standard and complex queries about customer accounts, products, services, policies, and procedures; provide solutions to customer issues and ensure successful outcomes.Design inventive customer touchpoints through daily digital interactions and deliver a consistent customer experience across various platforms to ensure a cohesive customer journey.Promote enthusiasm within the team for target events through mentorship and coaching of branch personnel.Utilize a needs-driven consultative approach to effectively cross-sell bank deposit and loan products and services to a diverse range of customers.Utilize technology and digital channels, both internal and external, to meet customer demands and enhance customer relationships.Apply knowledge of regulations to assess and approve loan applications, including Home Equity requests.Establish and uphold fruitful working connections, with both clients and coworkers.Use the Salesforce platform for interacting with customers, engaging in conversations, and conducting necessary follow-ups.Collaborate with the Branch Manager to establish and uphold a culture that prioritizes efficient lobby management and engaging with customers to enhance their experience, both within the branch and in external settings.Uphold operational, regulatory, and security standards while prioritizing customer satisfaction and reducing potential losses for the BankAccept further obligations and roles as necessary.Required Qualifications:
Experience of 2-4 years in sales and service environments like retail, hospitality, or financial services or a bachelor's degree is a must.It is a prerequisite to become both a Notary Public and NMLS certified.Demonstrates outstanding communication skills through verbal, written, and interpersonal means.Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel software, with knowledge in operating a diverse range of equipment and mobile devices.Displaying superior organizational skills, with a particular emphasis on precision and detail.Showing a diligent commitment to sales while effectively balancing competing priorities and adapting strategies to different circumstances as necessary.The skill to operate with intuition and formulate creative solutions when obstacles arise is advantageous.Proficient in meeting typical office demands, such as extended periods of standing in various indoor and outdoor branch settings, while engaging in continuous customer interactions.Demonstrated ability to carry and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds.Revealing a preparedness and competency to function within a variable work schedule, potentially involving weekends, as per customer needs.Manifesting the proficiency to effectively finish our training curriculum.About:
