Research Fellow in Environmental Politics

About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated researcher to join our team as a Postdoctoral Scholar. As part of the 2035 Initiative at UCSB, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting research projects focused on climate change mitigation and adaptation, including energy and climate public opinion research.

Your primary responsibilities will include conducting independent research, analyzing data using advanced statistical techniques, and publishing research findings in leading academic journals. You will also contribute to the development of grant proposals, collaborate with other researchers, and participate in workshops and conferences.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in environmental politics, economics, or a related field, excellent analytical and writing skills, and experience working with large datasets. A PhD in Political Science, Economics or a related Social Science is required, and familiarity with climate and/or energy policy and politics is highly desirable.
