We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to step into the role of Head of Soil Science and Modelling. Role Responsibilities:
• To lead the development of advanced modelling strategies for climate and sustainability metrics, focusing on soil organic carbon and whole-farm management impacts, with a pragmatic approach to accuracy and effectiveness
• To provide scientific leadership and ensure alignment between soil science perspectives and business objectives, maintaining the highest standards of integrity at all times
• To oversee the data collection processes and adapt models for different climate zones
• To manage and develop a team, promoting innovation and cultivating a high-performance culture of excellence

Skills you will need:
Essential:
• A PhD in Soil Science or equivalent deep expertise in the field
• An in-depth understanding and knowledge of soil science and process-based agricultural and crop models
• Proven experience with modelling and Soil Organic Carbon (SOC) measurement
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
• A strong collaborator with the ability to work effectively across teams and with stakeholders
• The ability to drive innovation and integrate new scientific approaches to practical solutions
• Commercially astute
• An understanding of startup environments

Desirable:
• A proven track record of leadership
