The California Energy Commission is seeking a Renewable Integration Analyst in Sacramento, CA, to support renewable energy technologies and strategies. The role involves analytical tasks to enhance electrification and integrate renewable energy into the grid. The position allows for telework, but candidates must reside in California. Are you interested in an impactful career in clean energy? California Energy Commission (CEC) is hiring a Renewable Integration Analyst in the Energy Supply Branch of the Energy Research and Development Division (ERDD). The person hired will work in the “Energy Analyst” state classification and assist with a variety of analytical tasks in support of technologies and strategies that accelerate electrification and integrate more renewable energy on the electric grid.
The Energy Supply Branch works to advance cutting edge renewable energy technologies for the electricity and gas sectors. The Renewable Integration Unit focuses on technologies and strategies that optimize higher penetrations of renewable generation and accelerate adoption of integrated distributed energy resources (DER) and electrification; examples include microgrids, power electronics devices, DER aggregation technologies, electric vehicles, and improved forecasting methodologies.
The Energy Research & Development Division (ERDD) deploys over $200 million annually to advance new scientific approaches and technology innovations to meet the state’s clean energy and climate change policies, including but not limited to the areas of renewable energy supply, building and industrial decarbonization, sustainable transportation, energy storage, energy distribution, resilience and reliability, and carbon management.
