Job Description
Insight Global is hiring a Contracts Analyst in Portland, OR, to manage renewable energy and battery storage project contracts. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating contracts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing a contract repository, and mitigating risks. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and 3–7 years of contract management experience, preferably in renewable energy. The position is full-time with a salary of $35–40 per hour.
About the Role
A Portland based renewable energy company is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Contracts Analyst to support their growing portfolio of renewable energy and battery storage projects. This role is critical in managing the lifecycle of contracts, ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and supporting cross-functional teams in the execution of commercial agreements.
Key Responsibilities
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts including NDAs, procurement agreements, EPC contracts, service agreements, and partnership MOUs.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, engineering, and project development teams to ensure contractual alignment with business objectives.
• Maintain and manage a centralized contract repository and tracking system.
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks, propose solutions, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Assist in the development and continuous improvement of contract templates, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in contract management, preferably in the energy (specifically renewable) or utilities sectors.
• Strong understanding of commercial and legal terms, especially in the context of renewable energy projects.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS), power purchase agreements (PPAs), or interconnection agreements.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and permitting processes in the energy sector.
