Larger focus of the work is to enable a transition of Indian agriculture towards more sustainable agricultural practices, improved rural jobs and livelihoods, enhanced food and nutrition security, build sustainable food systems, and mitigate climate change impacts by protecting and restoring natural ecosystems and biodiversity.
The Junior Program
Associate will play a key role in supporting the implementation of sustainable agriculture initiatives by coordinating with district administrations and Krishi Vigyan Kedras and ensuring effective communication between project teams and local institutions. The position requires frequent field visits, strong coordination skills, and the ability to document field experiences and contribute to project learning.
What Will You Do
Outreach and Field Coordination (80%) - Coordinate and maintain regular communication with project partners, government departments, farmer groups, and other stakeholders at the field level.
Plan and facilitate field visits, stakeholder meetings, workshops, and consultation events, ensuring smooth logistical and administrative support.Support landscape-level program implementation by coordinating activities across project sites and monitoring progress in collaboration with partners.Collect field-level information on project implementation, challenges, and emerging opportunities through regular interactions with stakeholders.Document field experiences, success stories, case studies, best practices, and process documentation through field visits and stakeholders engagement.Support outreach and dissemination activities, including organizing meetings with district administration, training programs, and knowledge-sharing events.Maintain records of field activities, meeting minutes, partner interactions, and project updates.Assist in coordinating monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) activities by supporting data collection, field verification, and reporting. Research and Documentation (20%) - Conduct desk-based reviews of government policies, schemes, published literature, and project documents relevant to project.Support primary data collection through surveys, interviews, and field observations.Assist in compiling, organizing, and analysing field data for project reports and knowledge products.Contribute to the preparation of reports, policy briefs, presentations, and other communication materials based on project findings.Support the project team in documenting research outputs and maintaining project databases.
What Will You
Need - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Rural Development, Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
Experience in field coordination, stakeholder engagement, or community-based development programs.Willingness to travel extensively to project locations.Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Fluency in Hindi is desirable.Experience with field data collection and documentation.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic data management tools.Ability to work
