Portfolio & Ecosystem Analyst Intern

Motion Ventures is seeking a Portfolio & Ecosystem Analyst Intern in Singapore to support portfolio management and ecosystem development. Responsibilities include managing portfolio performance, facilitating communication with stakeholders, and identifying partnership opportunities. Candidates should have experience in startup management, strong interpersonal skills, and a resourceful mindset. The role offers training alongside the General Partner and opportunities for career progression within the fund.
Support portfolio management and ecosystem development at Motion Ventures, an early-stage VC driving digital and energy transition in global supply chains.



Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:




Assist in managing Motion Ventures' invested portfolio.
Support monitoring and evaluating portfolio company performance.
Facilitate communication with founders and stakeholders to align with Motion Ventures' objectives.
Provide strategic and operational support to nurture the growth of portfolio startups.
Help maintain and develop relationships with co-investors, corporates, and other strategic partners.
Assist in identifying and pursuing partnership opportunities.
Collaborate with industry experts and organisations to support startups.
Foster a strong ecosystem to aid lead generation for the investment team.
Prepare reports on the performance, insights, and trends of portfolio companies for stakeholders.


About You

The company is looking for:




Experience or internships in managing startup portfolios, accelerators/incubators, or venture capital.
Strong interpersonal skills for relationship management.
Resourceful, problem-solving, and independent working ability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to be a specialised generalist, extending multiple skill sets.
Interest or knowledge in the maritime industry and innovation ecosystem is a plus.
Interest or knowledge of basic tech skills, such as managing a database and setting up a landing page, is a plus.


Training & Development


Work side-by-side with the General Partner, owning end-to-end deal cycles and influencing fund strategy.
Develop leadership skills by mentoring Associates.


Career Progression


Clear path to becoming Head of Investments or a higher role within the fund.
