O&M - SCADA Engineer(In Solar Industry)

Esunscope Solar Pvt. Ltd is hiring an O&M - SCADA Engineer in Dubai, UAE, responsible for the operation, maintenance, and cybersecurity of SCADA systems for utility-scale solar PV plants and battery energy storage systems. The role requires monitoring systems, troubleshooting, and coordinating with vendors. Candidates should have 5-8 years of relevant experience and a degree in electrical/electronic engineering. This is a full-time, in-person position.
Poaition : O&M - SCADA Engineer


Position Purpose:


The SCADA Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, optimization,& cybersecurity of SCADA systems associated with Utility-Scale Solar PV Plants and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).


Overall Responsibilities:


· Monitor and maintain SCADA systems for Solar PV and BESS facilities.


· Ensure continuous availability of SCADA servers, HMI, databases, historians, & communication networks.


· Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SCADA hardware and software.


· Configure and troubleshoot Modbus, IEC 60870-5-101/104, IEC 61850, DNP3, & OPC


protocols.


· Integrate inverters, BMS, PCS, weather stations, meters, protection relays, PPCs, & utility


SCADA systems.


· Monitor plant performance, alarms, and operational data.


· Support BESS monitoring including SOC, SOH, temperature, and charge/discharge cycles.


· Implement cybersecurity measures and manage user access controls.


· Support utility dispatch requirements and grid compliance functions.


· Coordinate with OEMs, EPC contractors, and third-party vendors.


· Working on Modbus connection with PLC.


· Working on IEC-104/101 gateways for SLDC communication.


· Trouble shooting of all device’s communication issues.


· Creating and Managing Data-Logging in SQL Server.


· Configuring additional parameters into HMIs.


· Commissioning and installation of C&R panels.


· Commissioning, installation of IED and Integration with SCADA.


Minimum Experience:


· Minimum 5–8 years of experience in SCADA systems, including utility-scale Solar PV and/or BESS projects.


· Proven experience in Commissioning/Configuration of Control and relay panels.


· Understanding of EPC and O&M contracts and project documents.


Minimum Education Requirements


Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering.


Technical Skills:


· Operation and Maintenance Management.


· SCADA Platforms: Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC, Zenon, Power SCADA.


· Industrial networking, fiber optics, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and TCP/IP.


· SQL databases, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.


· Knowledge of AutoCAD.


· Excellent written and oral communication in English.
